This innovative work in Brazil compiles 370 pages of Mariology production about the Mother of God. It serves as a guide for research and experiences regarding the figure of Mary, in its Lusophone inculturation.
I am called to respond to the mariological vocation.
As a center for international research and formation, we create, publish, and disseminate this annual memory space named after the Angel Gabriel’s greeting to Mary: Kekaritomene.Normally, this name is translated as “full of grace,” though the original intends to convey something much more expansive and intricate.

Daniel Cerqueira Afonso is Portuguese by birth, Roman by adoption, and Brazilian at heart. He holds a doctorate in Sacred Theology with a specialization in Mariology from the Pontifical Theological Faculty Marianum – Rome. He is currently the world’s youngest mariologist and one of the most highly regarded voices in Portuguese-language Mariology. Founder and current President of the Formation and Research Center Locus (Rome, Italy), he is also an international conference speaker and versatile writer. He is graduated in Exorcism and Healing and Liberation by the Pontifical Academy “Regina Apostolorum.” He is the author of several works and articles that cover mysticism, Mariology, environmental ethics, and human rights.
