Professor Daniel Cerqueira Afonso, Mariologist

Professor Dr. Daniel Cerqueira Afonso (Vila do Conde, Portugal, 1985) is a Mariologist, Doctor in Sacred Theology from the Marianum Faculty of Theology in Rome, Founder and President of the Institute Locus Mariologicus. He specializes in Marian theology, Marian apparitions, Josefology, and the theological thought of Hans Urs von Balthasar and Adrienne von Speyr. He is a corresponding member of the Pontifical International Marian Academy (AMISM) since 2012.
