## Professor Daniel Cerqueira Afonso

**Professor Dr. Daniel Cerqueira Afonso** (Vila do Conde, Portugal, 1985) is a Mariologist, Doctor in Sacred Theology from the Marianum Faculty of Rome, Founder and President of the Locus Mariologicus Institute. He specializes in Marian theology, Marian apparitions, Josefology, and the theological thought of Hans Urs von Balthasar and Adrienne von Speyr. He has been a corresponding member of the International Marian Academy (AMISM) since 2012.
