Antiphony to Mary, “Under Your Protection”: The Oldest Prayer to Mary

We flee to your protection,
Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our supplications
in our needs,
but deliver us always
from all dangers,
Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

To you, O Holy Mother of God,
we make our appeal.
Do not spurn our petitions
in our hour of need.
But deliver us from all peril,
Glorious and Blessed Virgin.
