Ratzinger’s Mariology: Introduction

As Benedict XVI, Ratzinger preached and meditated on Mary in audiences, homilies, and journeys (Lourdes, Fatima, Czestochowa). Ratzinger’s papal Mariology is structured around the Mother of Hope, the Mother of the Church, and the Mother of the Word. In the book Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives, Benedict XVI offers a Mariological reflection on the Annunciation, the Magnificat, and Cana.
